MMOEXP: The Twitch streamer beats Elden Ring

On April 1st Twitch streamer Seki did something very impressive In FromSoftware's Elden Ring. After many attempts and practice, the expert player completed what appeared to be world's first recorded no-hit/no-damage run of Elden Ring Runes.

Seki's no-hit/no damage run took about just under 3 hours to complete and was done live on stream and he posted the photo of his win shortly afterward on Twitter, excitedly announcing the victory. Seki tweeted that Seki stated that his impressive run was a "world's first." A few people questioned this and pointed at an earlier race by streamer GinoMachino who was running on March 13. While GinoMachino did complete Elden Ring without taking any hits, his run is quite different from the one Seki did.

"No-Hit/No Damage" is more difficult than a standard no-hit race because the player isn't able to take [any] environmental damage such as poison/fall damage, etc," Seki explained to MMOexp. "This adds difficulty to the course since I don't get access to buffs like the Red-Feathered Branchsword, which can boost my damage output if I had low health."

This means Seki must be wary of any kind of injury, whether big or small, during the entire game. Consider how many times you've played cheap Elden Ring Items and accidentally fell and received some fall injury or suffered poisoning in the swamp. If anything like that occurs for Seki during his game, he'll have to begin again. This condition turns an already challenging and difficult sport an even more difficult challenge to beat.
